Have you earned your purity badge yet?
Hold on… I’d like to tell you a little story.
I know it’s not directly about you at first, but I think you might get something out of it.
So here’s the thing:
I couldn’t care less about celebrities.
I don’t care what the Kardashians are doing, and when a celebrity video pops up on my feed, I swipe away 99% of the time.
I also don’t care what the top-tier or mid-tier coaching names are saying, unless it actually makes sense to me.
I don’t see most diplomas or certifications in the coaching industry as valuable, simply because many of them lack scientific rigor or are based on outdated material… and yet, people shout them as if they were unquestionable truth.
There are still myths circulating in coaching, personal development, and psychology that are simply not true.
For example:
Left-brain vs. right-brain personality.
That doesn’t exist the way people have been sold it.
Neuroscience disproved this decades ago.
Creativity is not about being “right-brained.”
It depends on how efficiently the two hemispheres communicate through the corpus callosum.
We are all creative. Just differently.
Another one:
“Affirmations don’t work.”
This became a trend within trhe past years,
An ever-angry-green so to say.
People criticize affirmations for different reasons:
– They tried them expecting magic, and where disapointed.
– They tried it twice it one week and complained about the fact that „the stuff is not f*cking appearing yet, m*ther f*cker“.
– Or… Because criticizing affirmations has become a brilliant marketing move to sell the next thing.
And this is where the Instagram Coach archetype gets dragged into the storyline:
You know the one.
– She’s “greedy.”
– She’s “unqualified.”
– She’s dancing in a summer dress on the beach talking about ease.
– She’s says „It’s your fault“ to her coachees, when she’s cognitively overwhelmed.
So she must be shallow, stupid, unethical, and completely disconnected from the reality of her clients, right?
And she disapears after 3 years on Balli, Costa Rica or somewhere at the Meditarean, doesn’t she?
And by calling her that, the critic gets to feel:
– Noble
– Paricularly intelligent
– Ethical
– Pure and good.
It’s an identity performance.
A morality costume.
But here’s the truth:
Nuance. Always nuance. That is the game of intelligence.
There will be always a next method and thrend worth adopting or throwing stones at.
Now, the nervous system is in.
– Polyvagal Theory exists.
– It has value.
– And yes — it is still a theory.
The problem with theories made truth is that they can backfire.
Everytime something is dogmatised, it backfires. (That’s my personal limiting belief ;-))
The problem with our society is that we play “ I know“ all day long. I’ll grant you that, some know more than others, because they’ve done the years of research and tested the stuff.
But the point is: we know not much.
And theory becomes certainty only when:
– When I do A → I get B.
– Every. Single. Time.
The only thing that we both experience on a daily basis is gravity.
If we drop something, it falls.
Every time.
Humans are not gravity.
Humans are complex, emotional, contradictory, adaptive beings.
If psychology truly had absolute answers, millions of people living with depression would already be cured.
So maybe we stop pretending psychology is an exact science.
And stop worshipping coaching tools like they are sacred laws.
So maybe… we chill a little.
And stop forcing:
– Quantum physics into personal development,
– Research from the 70s into modern self-help,
– Astrology into scientific language.
Astrology is not science. Nor is human design or numerology. Or Gene Keys, or whatever is out there. And that doesn’t make it meaningless.
It makes it what it is: A POSSIBILITY.
Now… manifestation.
If you think there’s “one formula,” forget it.
Look at your actual life:
You have manifested things:
– in calm,
– in chaos,
– in joy,
– in grief,
– in clarity,
– in confusion.
I have manifested money out of pure panic (and when I mean panic, it’s an understatement) and it worked.
And I kept it. (Nope, I didn’t lose it, because I must have had resistance to it)
More than once.
Every time? Also no.
I have also manifested from softness, stillness, love, certainty, exhaustion, surrender.
So no, manifestation does not always require:
– action,
– alignment homework,
– perfect regulation,
– or a curated emotional palette.
Nope. Nope. Nope.
Reality rearranges itself simply because of who you are in the moment (how much energy you’ve put into one direction. Not because of what you did or because you’re „a good person“. The ones who get what they want are the ones who think, they’re is no question in them deserving what they get.)
Look at all the d*cks in this world. Do you honestly think they can’t sleep at night because of what they did?
I thought so.
– If there is a rule, it’s that there is no rule.
– You are not a machine.
– You are not a formula.
– You are not an algorithm.
You are a dynamic, breathing, changing, sensing universe of your own.
Nobody can understand you more precisely than you can.
So I’ll end here:
“I know that I don’t know.” — Socrates
Or, if you prefer:
“You know nothing, Jon Snow.” — George R.R. Martin.
See you next time,
M
PS: If you want to
• name what you feel but can’t quite articulate
• reconnect to intuitive intelligence without bypassing the mind
• shift out of subtle freeze into aliveness
• think clearly without collapsing into overthinking
• access desire without pressure
• Create (manifest) from a grounded and sovereign identity, rather than from fear.
